I just started using a prescription of Welchol. After two days, I am seriously thinking of discontinuing taking it. I am not prone to anxiety at all, and since I started using this, I have some anxiety and I am generally uncomfortable. Some gas and constipation. My heart rate is up a little. I really don't like this feeling of anxiety at all. I am taking Synthroid and Benicar.

I take Levoxyl and noticed the same symptoms. I even asked the pharmacist and he couldn't find anything . I now wait 3-4 hrs after taking the thyroid meds to take the welchor. That seemed to alleviate that problem.

Welchol can drop your blood sugar levels creating hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia cause anxiety and sweating. Have you checked your blood sugar levels during these symptoms?

I did read to take thyroid medication prior to Welchol. I was just prescribed Welchol by my doctor and after reading all these postings I am hesitant to even get the prescription filled.
