I took Lisinopril for 20+ years, and it worked well, dropping my BP to normal [about -20mm]. Then I started getting hives - controlled by benadryl or claritin. Then angioedema [tongue and throat swelling shut] and ER visit, so I stopped. If you don't have the side effects like that, it is great. If you do, switch.
