Hey, don't freak out after reading all of those posts. I'm a 23 yr old medical student and I took yasmin for 5 years. It really worked great for me, but I just wanted to try something new, because I think being stressed alters your hormones a bit. For the first month, your body is adjusting to the hormones so that's when you might get some funny side effects. Since you don't have any problems yet, just try it out for a couple months and see how your body adjusts. If you notice any big changes after a decent amount of time, then I'd talk to your doctor. It really did work great for me for a while. And, for all the negative comments people make about it on here, there are a bunch of people that like it that wouldn't look this stuff up on here and make a positive post. Take it easy!! Being stressed out about finding side effects will make you think you have them!!
Hi,
yes, everyone reacts differently.
Why did you go on the pill?
Is the risk of the side effects listed really worth why you want Yasmin? Find a different BCP, too many others have been down this Yasmin trip prior to you. From now on I vow to research any medication before I take the prescription. Positive or negative.
Hi,
I don't want to sound like a mom, but BC pills are not a joke. they can have serious side affects and doctors need to know your family history to see if BC are safe for you. I am 27 and have been on yasmin for five years. My symptoms came on gradually. I never connected them to yasmin, but they are getting too bad for me to take so I am going off them. Every girls body is different because I didn't have symptoms in the beginning like the other girls on this site did. Please talk to your OB/GYN about your concerns instead of a website. If you don't have an OB/GYN, get one. good luck with everything.
