You should look into getting the copper IUD, It has no hormones so there are no sideffects as the IUD your looking at. The only thimg Is that It is a 10 year instead of 5, but you can get It taken out when you want, also the first month your period may be heavy. I think the copper IUD Is best no Hormones no worries.
I would strongly recommend that you show these post and tell your husband of these side effects as it is alot easier for him to get fixed than for the painful insertion and the risk of these terrible side effects...I have only had the IUD for two months and have weight gain, acne (that I have never had before) pains in my lower abdomen that feel like a baseball is in there and I am still having what seems to be a period and it's going on two weeks..After sex it is very painful...(this should help your husband make up his mind)
I wish that I had seen this site before seeing those commercials...please take your time in this decision ...I wish that I had...
all the best
I loved the Mirena. I had it for the full 5 years and it worked great for me. I don't think everyone has the same effects and there are so many people out there that use it and it works great. I never had any of the side effects mentioned on this site exept I didn't have periods anymore. My sex drive was great and I wasn't burdened by "that time of the month". I can't tell you for sure that your body won't respond like the people on this website, but I do know that it worked for me and quite a few people that I know. Hope it all works out for you. As for me, I COULD NOT use condoms the rest of my life. My sister had the copper IUD and it made her bleed like a crazy women. That was the only side effect that she said bugged her. But eventually she switched to the Mirena after I told her what a great experience I had with mine. Good luck.
