I'm glad I thought to check to see if Wellbutrin might be causing...

I am so relieved to read all these posts about hair loss!! I am on wellbutrin and I thought I was losing my mind when I saw my eyebrows thinning to almost nothing. Hair on my arms is completely gone too! Hair on my head has gone from thick to thin. Now I just have to find out which of my medications is causing an enlarged thyroid which is noticeable! I take lots of meds: wellbutrin 300 mg, effexor 300 mg, neurontin 2400 mg, lisinopril 20 mg, HCTZ (water pills) 25 mg, lipitor 10 mg.

I just got home from the dermtologist whom I went to see because of terrible acne and hair loss.He said he sees this a lot from Wellbutrin. I also lost a lot of weight while on wellbutrin, about 20 lbs. I have lost over 1/2 my hair on the crown of my head. I had a nice full head of hair before this. I was on Bupropion, 100mg 3x's a day...this did not happen until the dr. bumped dosage up to 400 and put me on Bupropion HCL. Generic forms of Wellbutrin. I am soooo angry about not knowing this was a potential side effect. I had no idea so many people were losing hair because of these meds. I was also on Topamax and Lorazapem which after internet research appear to be making people's hair fall out too. This is more common than they would like people to believe. I think a class action lawsuit should be the next step where these meds are concerned. Shame on these companies for pushing this poison. This has been devastating for me as a woman.
