I have been on the pill for several years and never had any problems...except that I still got pregnant. My doctor recommended the NuvaRing telling me that it was great. Never mentioned any side effects. One year later I went to the emergency room and found that there was a large blood clot in my lung. I am very lucky to be alive. The doctor's know that it was the NuvaRing because I had no other risk factors other than the NuvaRing. Beware. Blood clots in the lung can be fatal. I was lucky. I still have horrible anxiety because of it. I am on an IUD and have had good luck with it so far. Just thought I would share.
