Living with our 13 year old son for the last 7-8 months has been like H--L, and now to read about all of this, we've taken him off Singulair as of last night. We've been completely at a loss why the sudden shift in his behavior, and we assume too it was hormones. Now, he's just started seeing a chiropractor for his recently diagnosed scoliosis, so we thought maybe the scoliosis was affecting his moods, which it could be, but the Singulair sounds more like it. I myself have been seeing a chiro for 19 months for a very bad back and have seen the great results (I could barely walk and was waiting to meet with a surgeon - happy to report I've not had the operation after all), and I've just finished reading a great book I encourage you all to read called One Minute to Wellness (and I'm not religious at all but this book really opens up the alternative possibilities of chiropractic care). I had heard before how chiropractic care has helped many with asthma, so we're hoping that our son's chiropractic care for his scoliosis will also help his asthma. It is worth considering. Our kids health and our sanity are worth it.
