I have gone through the same things with my 11 year old since he was 3 and began Singulair, in fact my four year old just saw his pediatrition and I was asked to put him back on the drug and I refused saying that he changed after only 24 hours and she told me that she had asked the drug reps about it and was told that no one has ever said anything about symptoms like my sons'. I am beginning to think that maybe i will speak to a lawyer.
I can't believe this...I even asked our doctor could being on Singular have bad effects...he said with certainty "no." I don't think he knew but I've told him several times that my son always says his legs hurt. I don't know about the other symptoms...he has talked about death but nothing extreme and some fits, but nothing I consider that others don't have. Sometimes I do think he gets very angry, very quickly. I don't know what to do...it seems like if he misses a dose, he gets sick (cold wise) He has been on Singulair for over two years, possibly three. I wonder what I should do.
Oh my god - I am flippin gout right now. I have a daughter who has been on this drug for about 7-8 years now- she is now 12. My husband & I have noticed dramatic changes in her mood. I thought it was just part of her growing up. Its like walking on eggshells with her - we have to watch what we say so that we keep her in a happy mood! I was thinking to myself, that when she starts her menstrual cycle, we will be in for some baaaad days!
This thing about your son and leg cramps - my daughter has that too, but I too thought it was a growing spurt.
Well, I am calling the doctors office today.....I am definately changing her meds.
Thanks for the great post!! And I'm glad I found this website too

I just want you to know I have two children that have experienced some side effects from this medication.
I am not sure all the symptoms everybody is saying is related to singuilar, I don't know the politics about drug companies, but vioxx was a great drug for a lot of people, I am sure singuilar is good for a lot of asthmatics too, just parents need to think themselves and give their kids "drug holidays" to see whether the symptoms that they assume is related to a drug, is really related to that drug. every body knows that asthmatics and people with allergies are " more sensitive" people compare to other people even long before invention of singuilar
This registry is a place to share positive or negative side effects of using Singulair. If you directly experienced a side effect while using Singulair, then we encourage you to enter it here. Please note that entries here are the experiences of individual users, and in no way means that you or anyone else will experience the same side effect, since the same medication affects people in different ways. Please always contact your physician.
