My son will be turning 10 years old in April, and he's been on Singulair over a year. He has been having some behavioral issues at home, but they are now happening at school AND youth group activities at church. This is way out of his normal character. After I read about the FDA's move to investigate the drug's side effects more closely, I stumbled across other web sites similar to this one. I read a posting where someone was complaining about nightmares. Without leading him on, I asked him if he has been having nightmares lately. He responded 'yes' - things like waking up and thinking someone is pointing a gun to his face or someone with a dagger has him cornered. I asked him why he didn't tell me or his mom about his nightmares - his response was that he thought this was normal. The frequency of the nightmares is about one every other night. We have taken him off of the drug as of this morning - I will add an update (via a reply) to this note in a few weeks describing any changes in his behavior and nightmares.
