Dear Spiderman's mommy, maybe you parents must get yourselves involved in a patient education program, ask questions, this is your child dammit!! be responsible, beoing responsible is not only about buying them happiness, it is taking the time nd spending it with them, you dont wait till ur child is 3 or 4, children have their own knowledge and sense they teach u more than u even know. Further to this reply, maybe you should try symbicort/pulmicort, the latter is safer for younger inds from 6mths up till adulthood. It also has its safety label with pregnncy, once they are over 4 - 12 there is symbicort 80/4.5ug. Dont feel a how to talk to your doctor about what is good or not good, A piece of advice mommy, once you start seeing unexpected symptoms from your child, make sure you note them down, thy various medication they might be taking in addition, READ READ & READ more to understand why or how and then approach your doctor and tell him that you want to fill out an adverse events form to a particular company. HELP YOU HELP YOUR CHILD.
OK, that last reply was a bit rude! My son has had the same symptoms and I would not have linked it to an asthma med. I have had asthma all of my life and have been on various meds, never with these symptoms(the violence and threats to hurt himself started at age 4).. I am also on singulair and it does not do this to me so I would not have known about this had this news not come out. I think you are doing the best for your child and we all want to trust the drug companies. I might sue Merck for the pain and suffering my son has experienced over the last 4+ years. Both of my kids are off of it now. Hang in there!
The reply from biokid was not a bit rude but, VERY rude. You know there is always someone whom is negative for the wrong reasons!!!
