Started Levaquin 500 mg for 14 day treatment 4 days ago for chronic ethmoid sinusitis (15 months of battles!). Within 1 day, my symptoms were significantly better - and now 3 days later are about 95% gone. Only strange side effect happened on day three (3rd pill), got severely nauseated and dizzy and felt disoriented within 20 mins of taking the pill, but all subsided within 3 hours. Might have happened because I had taken a Zyrtec the night before - I believe that the 2 don't really mix well. Have been fine since (not taking Zyrtec with it again!). Do also feel a little tendon pressure in my knees and elbows, but is very little and doesn't bother me at all.

Just be careful. Don't ignore or downplay your symptoms. Most of these symptoms worsen over a period of weeks and/or months. I took Levaquin in December. In early January, I started experiencing a lot of pain in my joints and muscles. I am still having some terrible symptoms more than 3 months later. Check out some websites: fqvictims.org, fqresearch.org, fluoroquinolones.org. Hopefully you won't have the severe problems so many thousands of us are suffering.

I'm glad it <> to be working out for you. Like the previous reply stated, don't speak too soon. I had tremendous problems immediately, then they abated for a period of time. I thought my life was returning to normal. Then my bicep snapped spontaneously. After that the side effects have been cycling quite readily. At this very moment my arm pain is quite extreme. I know it will lessen later and then probably be back again tomorrow. !5 months and counting. I don't think a couple of days means you are "out of the woods" but at least your sinus problems are better! Maybe you'll be one of the fortunate few. We all hope so, for your sake. Good luck.
