I suggest that your daughter try Symbicort instead, 1 bid and as per needed i'm sure she will be able to sleep better, GET HER OFF SINGULAIR.
You aren't losing anything by stopping the singulair. If her symptoms disappear then you know the source of the problem ...there are other asthma drugs out there to try.
My son's asthma was very well controlled on the singulair but the anxiety, depression etc. made him feel life was not worth living. I have my son back now...Thank God, that's all that matters.
Good luck.
Be careful of anything that contains salmeterol like Advair. It has a black box warning and causes increased risk of death.
I just noticed your daughter is on Zyrtec. That has the same suicidal labeling Singulair has.
This registry is a place to share positive or negative side effects of using Singulair. If you directly experienced a side effect while using Singulair, then we encourage you to enter it here. Please note that entries here are the experiences of individual users, and in no way means that you or anyone else will experience the same side effect, since the same medication affects people in different ways. Please always contact your physician.
