I realize that not everyone will have the psychiatric side effects for Singulair. Everyone's body has a different chemical makeup.
I have been on Singulair since May 2007. Since then I've been very depressed. The depression has become worse with every increasing month. For the entire year, I had no idea what was causing this depression. It was getting to the point where I wanted to carve up my arm with my sculpting tools.
My mother asked me if I was taking Singulair for my asthma. I said yes. It makes sense. I took myself off of it. I hope that I can get back to feeling like myself again.
I'm not saying "Take this drug off the market." I'm saying to the drug companies to make bloody sure you know what all the side effects are and know them well before you put them on the market. We have the right to know what can possibly happen before we take these drugs.
