I am so very sorry for the loss of your father. I don't think there will ever be a "real" answer to the side effects of Singulair. The company is just making too much money and passing it on to the docs who prescribe it. My son was 5 when he was put on it, and started saying HE wanted to kill himself and leave this life. We took him off, and his depression lifted like the sun breaking through the clouds. I wish there was a way to help you get through this time as devastating as it is. I would research, contact the media in any way that you can, and inform them of your fathers depression led suicide while on Singulair. This is the only step that we can take to help the FDA with their conclusions.
I wish you the best of luck, and that you find peace somehow.

I am so sorry for your fathers death. I lost my dad a year ago and it has taken time for me to heal. Please read my post on 3-31-08 at 7:04 am. This is my story. I have no dought in my mind that if your father was a happy person before the Singulair, that this most likely was the cause of his death. I bet it came out of nowhere. Try to see if other people around him had noiteced any changes in behavior during the time he was on Singulair. Ask them if they saw any of the side effects I had as you read on my posting. Again, I am very sorry to hear about your dad. I was able to put the suicide thoughts out of my mind very quickly, being a strong willed person and knowing how much my new little boy needed a father. However, if I did not have a new baby to raise and I was all alone, I bet I would have acted on the suicide thoughts.
