I had what I thought was a sinus infection for three months, I was treated with various antibiotics and Prednisone. Finally a CT Scan was done and I had clear sinuses. I was having pain/tingling under my eyes, extreme tension in my cheeks, jaw, neck and shoulders. It turned out that I was having "involuntary muscle contractions" related to the medication. I had to take muscle relaxers for several days after getting off Topamax. It has been 3 months since I've been off and I am still having some tingling/discomfort under my eyes. I am seeing a neurologist soon to see if this is permanent nerve damage.

Hi, your post is amazing to me. I have had jumpy eyes for over a year now and have been to eye Dr's and they have just said it was stress or an allergy! I can lay down at night and my eye can be jumpy underneath and I can wake up in the morning and it will still be involuntarily pulsing. It is driving me crazy. That is just the beginning to my problems(I also have chronic tension in my face and jaw and have been treating TMJ...hmmmmm?) I have been on it for nearly two years, why now? Have I just had it too long, ya think? I hope that you got off of it in time. I am glad you saw someone who knew what they were doing. Would love to know what you find out. Take care.
Amy
