Hi There, I haven't been on Yasmin but I recently had some severe diffuculties on my birth control pill. Throughout high school and college, I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, which worked beautifully because I never noticed any side effects. Well in an effort to save some money, I asked my doctor to put me on a generic brand. They put me on Tri-Sprintec. I missed my period during the second month, which I thought was odd, and then in the last week of the third month I started experiencing horrible anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, etc. I have NEVER experienced things like this before, even in moments of grief. I went to the doctor and she told me that the estrogen was higher with Tri-Sprintec so she put me back on the Ortho Lo. Since I started taking Ortho Lo again, I have felt changes for the better. I'm about 75% better. I'm still battling anxiety spurts and some sleeplessness, which I hate because I worry about things that previous to this scenario, I really loved and looked forward to! Anywho, do you know how long it takes for everything to get back to normal? I cannot wait to feel like the normal "me" again 24 hours a day!

I know what you mean, i couldn't believe the effects the Yaz had on me. I stopped taking any BC pills. I wanted to get it all out of my system. I might try the ortho lo later. You should feel better in a few weeks. It took me about 2 or 3 weeks then when my next period came around i still had the week before irritability but i can tolerate that more than the aches and pains.
