Arlene, I don't know about you but I was on Zocor for a short time in 2005 and came down with what they are calling peripheral neuropathy. It hasn't gone away and continues to get worse. Recently my doctor put me on Prevastatin (another statin cholesterol med) and I began having horrendous stomach pains that put me in and out of the hospital 8 times since February. I have an appointment at Mayo Clinic the end of May if I live that long. The good news is within one week of stopping the Prevastatin, I returned to my normal self... but still with the peripheral pain. Check out spacedoc.net.
