Hello,
I do share your frustration and anger; I'm an adult over 40, and I've been taking singular for more than two years. I was also shocked by the news of the side effect of the medicine. I've been actually depressed for more than a year, and I always thought its life and work. But, when I thought about it, I've been always out going person who loves to be with friends and family, and never wanted to be by myself. Since I started taking singular, all I want to do is to stay in my room and see no one. I had to force my self to go to work and occasionally, I called in sick. I'm off the medicine for almost 5 days, but my allergist said it will take months before the medicine is flushed out of my system. It's strange what a small tablet can do to you. I will also contact the FDA, but what good will it do! I hope your daughter and nephew feel better, I have two children and I understand how stressful it is for you to go through all this. Best of Luck.

I feel everyone's pain!!! I have a soon-to-be 6-year old son who has been on the medication for about 6-months now. Recently he has started the "nobody loves me"', "you hate me" attitude. I thought it was just a phase, also. Then I heard something that I never thought I would hear from a 6-year old, "I am going to put a piece of paper over my hand, take a knife and stab myself and go to heaven". Where the hell did that come from? My son has always been a little hyper-active, but never depressed or suicidal. A day or two later my wife told me that she just heard about the report. I pulled him off the medication that second. He is starting to get better, but I know it will take awhile to wean him off of this crap. We need to do something about this!! If anyone has any ideas, please post. I am tired of the "oops, sorry" attitudes that we receive from people of authority.
