I'm glad you found this site and it helped you. I did notice one side effect that concerned me. Like you I was also on the Ring but I only started in September. By February I was having trouble breathing so extreme that I needed to be hospitalized. i do not have asthma but was now weezing just as a person with asthma would. I was caughing to no end and running a fever of 102.5. They found that I had been possibly throwing clots from my legs. Luckily I caught it in time and no clot made it's way to my lungs. I read that your thighs have been falling asleep. This is a sign on blood clots. The Nuva Ring has been linked to blood clots. I don't want to scare you but I think you should see your doctor right away. Please take the Ring out and see your doctor!
Signs of blood clots can present themselves as signs of the flu or pneumonia so it can be hard to diagnose at first but please be persistent. You will start to feel better in a few months. It's now April and I have been off the Ring for almost two month. My risk of another clot has lowered but now I may have some heart damage. I am not a doctor so please use your own judgment. I can only give you advice based on my own experience.
Wow. I hadn't even thought of that. I'll mention it to my doctor. Also - I have asthma, but it has gotten worse over the past year enough that my doctor subscribed me an additional everyday inhaler. I hadn't even thought of that as being related...
