My son was put on Singulair at the age of 22 months. He was in and out of the hospitals with Asthema-like symptoms, so this was the next step. By the time he was 2, he was waking up in the middle of the night, screaming and nothing that I did would calm him. Then, the biting started. Any time that he was upset, which was getting often, he would bite myself or my aunt, his sitter. If he didn't bite us, he would bite himself to the point of almost drawing blood! I was at my wits end and didn't understand why my perfect little boy was doing all of these things that he never did before! That was until my mother brought me the release that the FDA was investigating the drug. I immediately took him off of the drug and it has been a week now and he is back to my little boy!!! No more biting, hitting, pinching, throwing toys, fits, etc. This drug needs alot more investigating and I am just thankful that this was brought to my attention!
