I have no idea if it's related, but I had an eye twitch for two and a half months (it drove me CRAZY!!) right about the time I started having bad Mirena symptoms (I had Mirena two years before any bad symptoms). I had forgotten about that and wouldn't have thought it was linked. But after reading so many crazy stories about what this evil device does to people, I wouldn't be surprised if they were connected!!

I also had an eye twitch for about a month of my right eyelids. Drove me crazy!! It did finally stop and I haven't had another incident since then. I really don't know if it has anything to do with the Mirena or not. Hope your twitch stops soon, I know how aggravating it is!!

I had mirena in from Oct. of 07 to March this year. I had it removed due to my symptoms. Hormones have never set well with my body but that is me. Not until I read your post did I realise I haven't had an eye twitch since I got it removed. So yes I experienced the twitching, sometimes for days. I hope if you stick with it it subsides. I have been a long time sufferer of eye twitching. Not related to Mirena though
I had to start taking Lexapro to relieve the twitching.
Along with a regimen of Magnesium citrate.
Eye twitching is VERY annoying. With the combomination of these two suppliments and some extra sleep...I have it under control.
Also, avoid caffeine and any kind of green tea products.

I can't believe that someone else has experienced eye twitching...it is driving me crazy!! I have had Mirena for 5 months now! I had very heavy periods and love that I don't have that any longer and am considering having it removed as the side affects are many and the eye twitching is one of them! I am glad I am not going crazy because it has been going on for some time now!
