My husband has been taking Lisinopril for about 5 years now. He was taking 1 tablet a day. He was feeling dizziness, and lightheadedness, so he went to his Cardiac Doctor. The Doctor checked his Blood Pressure and said it was high. Than the Doctor prescribed 2 tablets instead of 1. When he takes 2 tablets it makes the dizziness worse, so he went back to taking 1 tablet, and feels somewhat better, but it's not the best. Does anyone know of a medication that he can take for the high blood pressure that won't cause dizziness? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Smmr1321

Not sure on the other med. have heard others move to Diovan with success but of course who knows with bp meds.

I took Lisinopril for about 2 months and have been off of it for 2.5 months of course got constipated and did not know that i was so in actuality i have been dispersing the med. for only 6 weeks and i am still quite dizzy. I would get off of the med. it is poison and it will only be a bad thing of course ask yourself and your doctor, if you trust him, but you know yourself and you can tell something is just not right. At least that is how it worked for me. My doctor kept telling me it was not the med. over and over, by God i thought i was dying, no kidding, bad reaction but am a little better still looking for energy and this dizziness to go away have literally been dizzy for almost 5.5 months day in and day out. My sight is getting a little better the rapid heart beat is of and on now still can't think right etc. This is not to scare you because as you read through some are worse than others and they do get over it, but it does take time. For the dizzyness Meclazine works but don't take it too long as the body will get addicted to it and when you stop taking it you can remain dizzy from it, that is what the doctor told me after i told him i was taking 3 a day just to be able to function, he was like wean yourself off now or you will get addicted so i did as well as stopped the Lis. med. You know it has snake venom in it. If you did'nt just read through the rest of the testomonies. Zinc and Selinium are very helpful in helping the bodys immune system get this crap out. Good luck Tom A.
