I am not on birth control. Other than that, I could write the same letter you did. My insurance changed as well as my prescription providor. My Warfarin manufacture changed and I am in the same shape you are. My body wants to give up.
Hello, I'm wondering if your side/back pain ever subsided? I am currently on coumadin and am experiencing the same pain. I began having it in the hospital but they just gave me pain relievers and blamed it on the hosptial bed. Since I've been home, the pain was intensified - so I am seeking any advice you may have. Thank you and have a good day.
Well, I am almost at the end of the six-month protocol now. My paperwork for the lab was written to cover through August 29, so I'm nearing the end of having to take Coumadin. Some side effects went away, others didn't. What I've had for the past few months are these: Waking up with what feels exactly like a hangover but with no drinking the night before (this includes very dry, sore, bloodshot eyes; blinding headache; and shaky/fatigued feeling), my stomach bloats out to four times its normal size about an hour after taking the Coumadin with dinner, and I still have a very sore stiff lower back in the morning. I have to take pain relievers first thing upon waking just so I can start my day. As always, the doctor doesn't believe it's from the Coumadin, yet my pharmacist confirmed that it was. I don't know if there's some bizarre thing going on with doctors and Coumadin, but they simply refuse to accept that this is causing people pain. I'm sick of them acting like I'm making it up. I wish to God they could just spend one week like this and then see what they have to say. Idiots.
I have been on lovenox 120mg and coumadin for just a week (clot in leg) and I am so bloated that I look like I am pregnant. (I am 59, 9 years post menopause!) What is with this? Can I expect this side effect for 6 months? It feels like my skin will burst. They even did an abdomenal CT to check it out, but it was negative. It is awful. Any advice, encouragement? Kathleen
