I HAVE BEEN ON THE NUVA RING FOR 2 YEARS AND AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS...

I have been on the nuva ring for a year and a half and a couple months ago I woke up one morning with these stricking pains in my abdomen and everybody kept telling me I was fine. No I knew my body wasn't. Later that night I started throwing up and couldn't hold ANYTHING down at all. I was throwing up nothing and it hurt soo bad. I was highly dehydrated and couldn't walk do to all the throwing up. Come to find out after 9 hours in the ER and testing they found a blood cyst on my ovary that was leaking toxins and bad stuff. That's what was making me sick and the cyst was what was causing the pain. Let me tell you it was the worst pain in my life and i'm not exaguratin. They had me on 3 different pain medications. One through my IV one by pill and the others were shots in the butt. It was caused by the nuva ring. If you feel any of those symptoms or pain please get help immediately before it gets that bad. The doctor told me if I could make it through that I could make it through child birth. Good luck and hope everything is all right.

I have been using Nuva Ring for about two years also. Last month when I went to put the Nuva Ring in i noticed that there was a 3 cm round mass where the Nuva Ring sits in my vaginal cannal. I took the Nuva Ring out and immediately made an appointment with my local doc. I have now undergone a Pap, Ultrasound and now today a MRI with contrast and am awaiting the results. I do not remember ever seeing on the side effects insert that Nuva Ring could cause any cysts or tumors in the place it is inserted!! Please if you have any information on this I am desperate to know.
