Hi: My doctor has suggested me lupron depot 3.75mg for three months before doing supracervical laparoscopy. I did ask the doctor about the side effects and she said that you might get hot flashes and mood swings. Thats all she said about the side effects. My first shot is on Tuesday April 15/08. After reading all these experiences i am so scared to take them and planning to talk to the doctor again and looking into the abdominal hystrectomy instead of supracervical laparoscopy. Do you guys think that because it is 3.75mg and not 7 or more mg it might not have that many side effects. God, I am so confused now, please help me out here.

What ever you do DO NOT GET THAT SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it has been a living hell for me i have all kinds of plumbing problems and that was the worst thing ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when you tell your doctor about your concerns and all the postings she will pass it off and try telling you well every medication won't work for every patient but this one is good for you . don't listen there are other alternitives . get a second opinion and a third make sure the doctors don't know each other they won't go against each other . I might sound like a raving lunitic but i have been suffering for a really really really long time and it just isn't worth it . diet and exerscise is the main thing you have to really get serious and just do it a hysterectomy isn't alwase the answer either. I've had a few laporoscopys and the more you have the more scar tissue builds up . i really wish you well and good luck in whatever your decision may be . but cancel that shot !!!!!!!! cindi NJ

HI, there. I'm keeping a journal of what this drug is like. I'm just about to get my 2nd shot. I am having side effects (severe) and apart from the endo, I was relatively healthy otherwise before starting treatment. It's been very rough, but maybe if you know what you are in for it won' t be quite so scary. Look me up at http://lupronjournal.blogspot.com/

Hi I'm 25 yrs old and had laproscopic surgery in Jan for endometriosis and endometriomas. My dr had mentioned putting me on Lupron and I researched it and read all the awful horror stories and it made me second guess getting the shot. I'm currently on my 4th month of the treatment and I'm on one of the highest doses and yes I have noticed a few side effects but they have not been life altering by any means. I get random hot flashes and have a little less energy than I used to...but I still workout everyday and honestly my life hasn't been negatively affected by it. I noticed that the only posts about Lupron are from people who have had negative experiences and not enough people respond that have success with it. So don't let all the negative ones scare you too much. Everyone's body responds to medications differently....but I just wanted to respond because not everyone has a negative experience with it. Good luck with everything!!!
