DO NOT TAKE AS A BIRTH CONTROL PILL!!! THE DOSE IS NOT ENOUGH TO PREVENT PREGNANCY. WORST SIDE EFFECTS OF ANY PILL I,VE BEEN ON. IT IS NOT A GENERIC OF ANY OTHER PILL. NOR IS IT MEANT TO BE A BCP. IF YOU WERE SWITCHED TO THIS BY YOUR PHARMACY (IN MY CASE WALGREENS) GO TO YOUR DOCTOR ASAP TO SWITCH TO SOMETHING ELSE. AND REPORT THE PHARMACY. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT THIS PILL IS BASICALLY AN "OLD LADY HORMONE PILL". IT IS AGAINST THE LAW FOR A PHARMACY TO SWITCH YOUR MEDICINE EVEN MORE SO WHEN IT IS SWITCHED TO SOMETHING OTHER THAN WHAT YOU WERE TAKING IT FOR.

Yes this is really true, these contraceptive pills can be detrimental to your health as in an article http://www.octanmen.com/articleDetail/432/pill-kills-your-sexuality.htm, I read about the side effects of these pills

I am quite concerned about your message.I am taking Sronyx because my pharmacy said my insurance did not cover the other contraceptive I was using.I am starting my 2nd month of using it and have slight suspicions that I may be pregnant.last month my period was weeks late and I've been really tired ,emotional, and hungry since then.I took a home pregnancy test but the result was negative. My fiancee and I have sex regularly without protection.how will i know if I become pregnant and if I do am I hurting the baby by taking the pill because I don't know yet?

I had just got these pills also because my insurance didnt cover the one i was prescribed for, walgreens said its pretty much the same thing and every birth control has a ton of side effects.

if your taking it and are pregnant it will not hurt the baby, but stop taking birth control pills as soon as you know that you are. in the case of these pills stop taking them anyway. if your insurance doesn't cover your usual brand there are other options that are affective. levlen is what i was taking to start with, but switched to lovora because it is actually a generic of levlen and at planned parenthood it's only $22 ($28 to $30 elsewhere). levlite is also another good substitute for orthotricyclen lo. it is also under $30 at most places. good luck.

I'm on this pill and the first month was horrible, I was emotional and highly irritable. But the only side effect I have now is weight gain. I've never heard anything about it being ineffective, nut now I'm concerned.
