How many mg are you taking?? I would love to lose weight from it, but dont think I am taking enough! =-[ I am 180 lbs 5 ft 6 after having 2 children and I want to lose back to 150!

how many milligrams of Topamax are you taking? I just started taking the lowest dosage last week for migraines.

Thanks for reading my post! I am taking 100 mg which is the standard dose. I am 59 and have not weighed under 130 since I had my 4th child 25 years ago. The confusing thing is not knowing if the pill is causing the weight loss or a medical condition since I am continuing to lose. It actually gets pretty scary when size 0 is too large and you can't sit comfortably because your tailbone hurts! I had used prescribed diet pills moderately over the years; however, although they decreased my appetite I didn't see this type of weight loss and I never went below 130 pounds. Good luck!

I took Topamax for a couple of months strictly for migraine prevention. I was only taking 25mg for most of the time. I felt like I was in a constant fog, and unable to think clearly...not good when you crunch numbers all day. I told my Dr. I couldn't function like this. His response was: I call this drug "Dopamax."
