It is great to hear that not all kids have such a rapid response. I have not posted my story yet on this site, but it so very similiar to yours. My daughter was on Singulair for approx 18 months and did have some mild behavior changes that we never would have linked to her meds. She just overtime no looking back was more irritable and moody etc. In December she started to experience severe fear and anxiety. She became very fearful over these stomach pains she complained of and we went through 4-5 weeks of Dr appointments, ER visitis, diagnostic testing and more. She developed OCD, panic attacks lasting for hours, separation anxiety, fear that she would stop breathing, fear of school...the list goes on. Finally, after this progressed we had her admitted to a childrens psychiatric hospital for 3 days to help because the panic attacks were so severe. She has been under the care of a psychiatrist and a therapist now for approx 2 months. They stated she had panic disorder and contributed this to the fact that we have some family members that have anxiety. She has been prescribed meds for this and has improved...but not as we would have anticipated. We did stop the SINGULAIR 14 days ago and did notice good changes in mood the first week. This week she is still somewhat better but not a lot of change. Still having some stomach pains and some of the OCD..I'm not sure how much of this is from all the emotional trauma she has suffered, or what is real. I also do not know how long I should wait until we decrease her other meds. The psychiatrist said we could cut the dose in half...but did not seem so convinced that Singulair was a culprit. Why are doctor's so skeptical??? Thanks again for your posting. I will be posting today or tomorrow. Vicki
