My baby was also breastfeeding while I had Mirena. He had some pretty bad eczema from about 6 months old to 10 months old, but then it mostly cleared up - and I didn't have Mirena removed until he was 12 months old. From what I understand eczema can happen for a lot of different reasons with babies and they usually don't know the cause, but it usually clears itself up as they get older. So I don't know if that helps you much - could be the Mirena, could be something else! I'd say if your gut feeling is that you should have the Mirena removed (as I see you're having some other difficulties besides your baby's eczema), trust your gut feeling whatever it is. And if you decide you want to have it removed, don't let your doctor talk you out if it. Most doctors have good intentions but are just uninformed about the problems Mirena can cause with some women. I wish you the best!
