Be as skeptical as you want, but explain to me then why after several visits to the doctor to find out what was wrong with me not one ever mentioned side effects of advair? I'm 26 and thought I was dying of something. For the past 10 months I was on advair and had the fatigue, the tingling, the muscle aches and pains, the intense headaches, the mood swings, anxiety, racing heart, and finally the culmination of feeling like I was having a heart attack one morning. I went to the ER to be told I was healthy and over-reacting. I went to the doctor had 5 blood tests done for anemia, diabetes, etc and all came back negative. Not one doctor ever mentioned or thought of the advair. I stopped taking it about 4 weeks ago cold turkey. My asthma was fine. I used my albuterol maybe 3 times in the last weeks, and pretty much every symptom is gone now. Now explain to me why we shouldn't be concerned with these side effects when so many people experience them?

I believe that your skepticism is well served. Being that most of the people posting this are asthmatics and probably take a couple of different prescriptions for different problems. But the fact is, is that they are all having the same side effects, which leads to a lot of suspicion, especially on my part.
I have no asthma problems, I was prescribed Advair because I had had a terrible cough that just wouldn't die. So I went to my family doctor and she gave me Advair, 2 puffs twice a day. It worked immediately, giving me relief from my pain. But 4 days later, I had an anxiety attack that almost completely ruined my relationship with my parents. I was on no other medications and have NEVER felt the way I did that night. It was the most frightening thing to go through. I stopped immediately and was much better within the next day or two.

I do believe it is Advair that caused my problems and problems of the like for these people posting. If you can, I'd advise anyone to find another medication to take, the side-effects just isn't worth the relief.

Perhaps you should read a little further on the Advair paperwork. I started having all sorts of problems while taking Advair for 4 months, first thing I told Drs. that I was taking Advair, all just ignored that and tried coming up with a reason for problems. I finally did my own research and if you look at the fine print at the end of Advair paperwork you will find your info about heart problems and withdrawal symptoms that you possibly be on another medication while withdrawing from Advair and the Symptoms of withdrawal.
It has been over a year now since I stopped taking Advair and am having lingering heart problems do to Advair, slowly getting over them, but went to the ER two weeks ago due to rapid and irregular heartbeat. Advair has thrown my electrical system out of whack, not to mention the mental stuff.
Ask a Heart Dr. about Advair, I had two pages of problems when I saw the Heart Dr., no surprise, he said all are related to Advair. There are a few of us that are sensitive to this drug and most Drs. have never seen these symptoms and think you are nuts. So be skeptical but don't dismiss these people. Oh by the way after doing a breathing test with the top guy at Pomona Valley Med Center, guess what, I don't have Asthma, so why did My Dr. put me on it in the first place without first getting tested? I am now so sensitive to anything with caffeine or other things that can increase your heart rate that any of them can trigger Palpitations and such. Yes it can help people, but it can also ruin a life, so beware. Oh, My breathing was great while i was on it, but not worth a heart attack or stroke
If I keep having problems I will soon be on Beta Blockers, so you take all the Advair you want, but you've been warned.
