Hey Bobby. Assuming this is the Yazmin......ask her to please read these blogs. It will help her to see how this drug is effecting so many other women, that it is not just you making it up.
I am experiencing the same thing now with my fiance. She actually told me last night that she may not want to keep the date. She too is on both Yaz and Celexa and the time frame for the "monster" is about the same. I'm going to show her your post and hopefully it will get through to her, since I'm definitely not. I wonder if it's just Yaz or if it's all birth control drugs? Write me back if you have found anything else out. mlajoie@comcast.net
Thanks,
Matt
While this certainly could be a hormonal issue, it is also possible that your girlfriend is suffering from bipolar disorder. It is common that people who have bipolar disorder can be sent into a manic phase (which can manifest itself as high energy and/or irritability, both of which you describe) when treated with antidepressants alone (usually this requires a combination of antidepressants and another mood stabilizing drug). She should seek an evaluation by a psychiatrist.
