I took 500 mg. of Levaquin for 10 days in January and caused extreme swelling and pain in both my knees, which I am still suffering from. I've had x-rays and an MRI of my left knee, which shows tearing of the tendons. I had my knee drained and injected and while it's a little better, the pain and swelling is still affecting my lifestyle, to where it's very difficult for me to walk stairs, and has affected my exercise routine as well. Has anyone thought of filing a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer of this poison? I have filed a Medwatch report with the FDA and called the manufacturer of the medication. They offered to refund the cost of the medication if I sent in the receipt, as well as possibly refunding the costs of the procedures associated with this.

Wow! You have gotten more than I ever received. I called the manufacturer and was given voicemail after voicemail and then referred to their legal department and invited to leave my name and phone number and someone would get back to me. That was two years ago! What number did you call? I have spent thousands in Dr. visits, MRIs, ultrasounds, medications, and time off from work. I am suprised that they offered you ANY type of monetary compensation whatsoever! I would greatly appreciate any information you might have abouth the correct party to contact. I am all for involvement in a lawsuit that would prevent any one else being injured by this poison! Thanks for your response and I hope that you get relief soon!
