You should really see a physician about possible post partum depression. I experienced the same emotional symptoms 6 months after giving birth. Anxiety attacks were wrecking my life and I was overwelmed almost to the point that I couldn't take care of my new baby or my other two children. The physician put me on Zoloft which is used to treat depression, anxiety, OCD, etc. and is safe to take if you are nursing. I've got the Mirena as well and I did notice my emotional instability worsened with it. I don't plan on taking it out but I am having my anti-anxiety medication adjusted. The benefits of keeping the Mirena out weigh the side effects in my case. I can try to control moodiness with oral medications and if that doesn't work then I'll reevaluate the Mirena situation.
If you are having the depression that badly...you seriously need ot get in to see your doctor and have it removed ASAP! It is NOT normal to have those thoughts...and it is NOT normal even if it was a post-partum depression. You are definitely not crazy...but the medication is not reacting well with you. Get it out!
you need to get that out immediately if you are experiencing such severe side effects. you have a new baby to care for and suicide should not be a thought for you right now! please contact a doctor asap and discuss your thought!!
