April 27, 2008 9:21 PM My dad has been taking Crestor for a few months now & he has complained of his left arm being numb for about a month now. It does not seem to get any better and now his legs are giving out on him. He says he can't hardly lift them to walk--like the are really heavy. I'm thinking this is side effects from the Crestor but the Dr. says it wouldn't cause that. They haven't ran any tests on him. After reading from several websites on Crestor I am convinced it is the culprit.

I have been on Crestor for about 2 months, I noticed this past week my legs feel realy heavy and my ankles and knees really hurt. I was on 10 mg for about a month and when I had my liver enzymes checked they were up a little. I was switched to 1/2 the dose, since you are not supposed to break the tablets I have taken 10 mg every other day. I also noticed I bruize much more easily. I am getting rechecked in a few days so I will mention all of this to the Dr. I think I will be stopping the Crestor no matter what.

Doctors often refuse to recognize statin adverse reactions, because Astra-Zeneca rewards them. Tell your dad to get off Crestor immediately. See http://www.factsmart.org/crestor/crest.htm
