Do you think Singulair also contributed to your weight gain, or maybe the combination of these 2 drugs? My daughter, now 15, is trying to figure that out, but in the meanwhile is on Pulmicort, no Singulair, Albuterol as needed, and on her 4th yr allergy shots. Also has AIA. Has a hard time trying to lose weight (started gaining 9 years old while on Advair/Singulair). Has been off Advair a couple years, and has been off Singulair about a year. Weight just won't come off, but at least started to grow in height after stopping the Advair.
I have had no problem with my singulair and I stayed on singulair after I got off the Advair. It took a long time for me to be able to get the weight off and I think part of the reason why I was able to drop was because I got sick and was unable to eat a normal diet for a while. I am not saying that the weight gain was because of singulair or not but I know that the Advair had a lot to do with it. Good luck with your daughter. It's frustrating trying to deal with stuff like that.
