I had to get the Mirena removed because I would bleed after intercourse. It took the spontaneity out of my marriage. My cycle would start all over again. Well, I am now on Jolessa. I didnt want to have to take a pill forever BUT I am all for planned pregnancies.

I just had my Mirena removed today, but that's a whole 'nother story about my main reasons for doing so (was causing me a major allergic reaction with skin hives.) I also experienced bleeding nearly every time after my husband and I would have intercourse. This is yet another side effect that seems common among Mirena users.
