My son has been off for 5 weeks (not months...sorry). Although he is much better (no more suicidal ideation), he is still having emotional meltdowns and crying. Hopefully our children have not sustained permanent damage. Some people have posted that it could take 6 months to a year....Only time will tell.
I have noticed the same thing with my son. Since being off the medication there has been a great improvement with a lot of the symptoms, but some are still there just not as bad now. I believe that with time hopefully he will return to the boy he was prior to Singulair. I guess we will have to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Best of luck to you and your child.
