Been taking Welchol for 1 month,started two weeks after starting ...

I am very worried about this medication. I cannot take the statins so here we are with Welchol.
I have pain in my upper shoulder, constipation (druggist said this is definately a side effect) and now think my hair loss might be due to Welchol.
I don't know what to do-Doctor seems to think it will help my LDL. I am going to stay on it for the next three months and if things don't change I will stop taking it.

I have all your symptons, I was on it for 1-1/2 months and went thru such severe muscle pain -I was so exhausted and feeling like I had the flu, that I went to the doctor -she did blood work to determine the tiredness and it turns out I am anemic-this is a side effect from Welchol.
I will not take it any longer.
