One of the other ladies on here found an attorney in Florida who is compiling info for a class action suit. His name is Justin Wikin and the phone number is 850-916-7450. The paralegal took all my info, listened to me describe my story with this product, got names of all my doctors and specialists, and said I should hear something back in a week to 10 days. (That was only about 4 days ago, so haven't heard anything yet.) The more women who call him, the more ammo they have to go after the makers of this horrible stuff! Good luck to you whatever you decide! Stay strong!

Thank you Keryn for replying. I will gather all the informaton i need so i can be prepared when i make the call. i will definately call them because this thing has ruined a part of my life even though i feel like i am slowly becoming myself again but the process seems sooo slow. There are days when the spasms are so much they literally drive me crazy.
Thankyou though for the info. Stay well
Helen
PLEASE TELL ME THAT YOUR SYMPTOMS HAVE SUBSIDED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I READ YOUR LIST & AM VERY CURIOUS TO KNOW IF ALL YOUR SYMPTOMS ARE GONE AFTER 2 MOS. I JUST HAD MY IUD REMOVED YESTERDAY & I FEEL LIBERATED. MY MAIN COMPLAINT WAS CONSTANT BLOAT ALL OVER, MALSMA(HYPERPIGMENTATION) DARK AREA UBOVE THE LIP, AND JUST TOTALLY NOT MYSELF. PLEASE GIVE ME HOPE( BUT BE HONEST) DO YOU FEEL BETTER? I FEEL LIKE I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
Hello backacne,
You know, i had soooo many side effects from this thing, i couldn't even remember them all. from the fog in my head to the scary heart palpitations to the itch from hell around my privates. I am not 100% back but i DEFINATELY feel better and better with every passing day. I can say for sure i haven't experienced another heart palpitation since the removal, and my chest pain has subsided. My chest tightness and pain was so bad that lifting my baby (say like off the floor or from his crib) was soo painful.
I really have to say for sure the chest pain which was very significant is tolerable now. emotionally, i feel like myself again and the fog in my head is gone. Really i do feel soo much better. I find myself slowly starting to do things again that i had neglected for much of the time that i had thing mirena in my body. I have more energy to do things for example today i actually cleaned out my pantry which i haven't done in like a year! Wow!
The numbness in my toes and fingers is alot better but i still get it sometimes especially in the morning hours when i wake up and at night. And i still have some tingling sensations on the left side of my face though to a much lesser degree compared to when the mirena was still in my body.
I am sure you too want to feel like yourself again and every one of us deserves that. But it's a process. i read here somewhere it ususlly takes about 2-3months to feel totally fine. I am not there yet, but trust me I am so much better off with this horrible device out.
I hope you feel better. Take one day at a time and stay well.
Just want to know how long it takes you the side effects totally gone after removed? I had it removed yesterday because I had the same side effects like you. I had it on for six month, I had lower back pain after a month but I didn't know it was from Mirena. It last for two weeks for that back pain and cramps too. Then, it was good until a week ago. I start feeling bad lower back pain, cramping feels like poking and moving of that device, headache, nausea, sharp stomach ache, numbness on one side of arm and leg. After had it off yesterday, I felt a little relieve of some symptoms but still feeling back pain and numbness.
Hi ladies,
Unlike you ladies, I haven't taken my IUD (Mirena) out yet. I have been wanting to for several months. I had it put in a year ago after having my son and my life has been a mess ever since. The Doctor said “I won't get my period or feel the pain of the endometriosis (like cysts), because when you use any form of birth control, it will help the problem”. It's not so. Not only do I have the pain still, but I have my period every 2 weeks. My period was normal, once a month 3-4 days, pain on the first day and that’s it. Now, I have to wear a liner in between, I have lower back pain, I seem to get an infection often, I have pain during sex, and more.
Unfortunately for me, I've been unemployed during this ordeal and no longer have the health coverage given to me during pregnancy. I called my Doctor 6 months ago to find out if I can take it out and how much it will cost and was told $385. I don't have that, so I asked for a payment plan, they don't do that. I know one thing as soon as I get some money, the Mirena is coming out. Until them I will be stuck bearing the pain and trouble every 2 weeks and wondering what other damages to my body it could be causing.
Prior to having my children, I’ve tried several other methods of birth control and it wasn’t this bad. They better just because you can just stop taking the pill or take off the patch, or not go in for more injections.
Any suggestions ladies?
