I am almost through my first pack of Loestrin 24 Fe and so far not a fan of it. I have tried many pills in the past and they had all made me gain weight. After not being on a pill for a year (and not having a period), my new OBGYN put me on this one to try because she said it didn't have the weight gain affect I had experienced on the other ones. On my second week of this pill, my breasts were very tender, I had cramping and started to spot daily. I also noticed that I am having trouble with my contacts and eyes and I am getting sun spots on my face. I am not sure if those last two are related to the pill or not. Has anyone else had any of these symptoms? Since I started spotting it has increasingly gotten heavier to where I have to wear a tampon daily and I am supposed to get my actual period on Wed/Thurs. of this week. So right now I feel like I have been on my period for a week and a half already. Is anyone else experiencing this? Please email me and let me know ******

I've been taking this pill since August 2007 and I haven't had any problems at all. I was scared to change pills since I been on one pill for25 years but this one has worked out fine for me. I guess it affects everybody differently. Good luck.

I started it 2 weeks ago and I have the same spotting problem. The cramps have also started and I feel like I've been on my period for 2 weeks ( very lightly of course). I had stopped taking a pill during the last year.. so it may be an effect of the 1st month only. Not sure about that. It could be that the pill is not adapted as well. I'll wait a few days more and contact my Gynecologist if needed...

Well I understand how all of you feel. I started the same pill about a month and a half ago and I've been bleeding since Memorial Day. I was really bothered because I take the pill to regulate my period but now it's as if my period is way out of control. The worst part is somtimes it does stop, but will begin back like 3-4 hours later. They also told me that once I began the pill my period would be very light and short, well it has been very heavy and short, well... After the first 5 or 6 days of bleeding I called my doctor and they just kept telling me it's normal your body has to get used to the pill. They told me that it's a result of the pill trying to train my body as to when my period should come. However I don't understand how that is possible because I'm not even down the brown iron pills yet! But I guess the doctor know's best. I'll give it a couple of more days before I get a second opinion or go to the ER, I know by now my body has no iron and honestly it's causing me to be very tired all the time.
