You've desribed so well the explosive shattering from the chains that held me in severe depression (Type 1 bipolar) as a result of initiating Lamictal. Really incredible the effect it had on attitude, outlook, ambition, confidence andmany others. The world went from being a washed out gray to bright colors of the rainbow. really dramatic.
However after 2 1/2 years the drug seems to have lost its good effects and the negative side effects that have been so well described in the postings are no longer tolerable.
thanks for sharing, kevin
Me too--has been great for me; totally changed my outlook after 20 years of trying different meds, most unsuccessfully. Both dad and paternal grandfather committed suicide so that drug seems like a lifesaver after years of suicidal thoughts.
I take 100mg prozac and also take 30mg of Prozac, for about 2 years now--the combo has been perfect, no side effects except perhaps oversleeping--but this post re: effects going away after 2 years is alarming!
I recently had a bad relapse after a week of intense workouts, after months of not exercising at all, and now I'm concerned about hard workouts again. I am wondering if something negative was released through the workouts, stored in the fat or whatnot. Found this site trying to research that. Has anyone experience that?
