This medicine is horrible for me! I gave it a long while to give it a chance. Rapid weight gain, hair loss (ongoing), terrible aches and pains, hives, dead tired, terribly hot, irritable...the list goes on and on. After getting pro-active with my health care provider, I have now changed to Armour and now I'm remembering what 'normal' feels like again. I've lost all the weight I gained, my hair and skin feel much softer. I can't believe the amount of people that feel bad on this drug. It seems to be bad-mouthed all over the internet. I guess as long as the major drug companies retain it as the 2nd or 3rd best selling drug in the States and continue to fund, wine and dine and court physicians, we're never going to get rid of it. I chose to dispose of every single one of those evil pills. Armour stepped in to change my life for the better as Synthroid was slowly destroying me.

Did you by any chance have a super tight jaw? I have been on synthroid for about 3 weeks and am VERY uncomfortable with this clenched jaw!

hello, not sure my question was sent.
I am taking synthroid for over 3 years now. 1 1/2 years ago my medicine was increased to a extra half one a week any day I chose.
My hair was beginning to fall even before the half . I am up to 12 vitamins a day. I don't know what to do. Should I decrease the extra half a week myself. I have a doctor appointment soon. I don't think it will help all they seem to do is take blood and send me on my way. My blood test always comes out fine. Even when I was dizzy , tired , felt awful. the test came up fine. My doctor said we would try the extra half added on to my pill each day. I am not as dizzy , my hair is falling out. I do have other issues I feel I can live with...I am worried about my hair. Please send me your advice . If I should cut out the half or try the Armour medicine. I am a little afraid of what I read about Armour not sure what to do...
thanks for any help

Hi!
I just recently switched from Synthroid to Armour and would like to know how long it took you to lose all your weight and how soon you started to feel better?
