Oh hon, I am so glad you found this site too. My son experienced most of those behaviors too and they were horrible. He has been off singulair for 1 month and he is sooo much happier. He is the little boy we once had and more. I am disgusted with Merck, they seem to only think about the money. I can't believe some people would jeopardize people/children's lives for money. It makes me sick every time I think about it. Please file your complaint with the FDA. Tell EVERYONE you know. Family, friends, teachers, someone you meet at the grocery store. We as parents have to get the words out because no one else is going to do it for us. Keep us updated, and good luck to you!!

I am so glad you found this site. Your son will improve it just takes a lot of time. My daughter also experienced the thoughts that she might hurt herself. She said she heard a voice telling her to cut herself or put her hand on the stove burner so she could die. This is not what you want your 10 year old to say. AFter 2 months of therapy and off singulair she only has some residual anxiety . No more voices, stomach aches, headaches or Ocd symptoms.
Singulair really needs to come off the market. Make sure you reported your symptoms to fda.gov.

Thanks for your support, I definitely will file a report. My daughter said last night her bad thoughts have decreased. She's doing much better with coping as well, I'm sure that we will see continued improvement. The ironic thing is that I'm a psychologist. For years I've felt bad that I couldn't help my own child. None of the other professionals I know are aware of this. How many kids going to see therapists for their anxiety/OCD are really having side effects from their meds? I know that this will change the way I provide services and I will spred the word to everyone I know.
