I'm starting to think ALL allergy meds affected my son I just stopped his flonase yesterday since it's the same med. as Flovent & if u read Flovent's S/E's there are similiarities to singulair so just be careful on the flovent he was also on zyrtec & claritin at diff times b4 the singulair now that I look back he seemed to get worse when he started on the allergy meds BUt Singulair was the worst!!!
GL I hope he continues to improve like e/o else on here
we'll have to wait & see what happens with my son though I would so much rather deal with allergies than these mood swings/aggression/bad behaviors
My son has been off Singulair for almost 3 weeks now. I have seen improvements in mood and attitude, but the one thing that still haunts us is the hair pulling (eyebrows and eyelashes). He hasn't pulled in a few days, but he says he still wants to and it's hard to stop. If after a few more weeks he is still struggling with this, we'll see a child psychiatrist (but NO drugs - only for behavior modification). Good luck to you and all the other parents/children suffering side effects.
