Sounds to me like there may be a serious problem like a uterine perforation or an infection from the insertion process, especially with the fever. It's too coincidental to be "just a bug", especially since it happened so soon after the insertion.

If they won't see you in the doctor's office, get yourself to the ER ASAP.

I agree totally with abvt66. Get yourself to the ER if you have to. You may have a pelvic infection or a perforated uterus that is inflamed.

I agree, I had labor-like cramps but my Dr. said that if I started a fever I should let them know IMMEDIATELY because it could be pelvic inflammatory disease! And get PISSED at that doc that told you you might have caught a bug!

I had my Mirena inserted on Sept. 20th,07. About a month later I had a very serious breakdown!! I was then placed on anti-depressants, I have gained about 40lbs since. When I first had it inserted that day, I felt crampy, and I thought I may have been coming down with a bladder infection, I had to pee a lot!!!

I called my family Dr. and the Dr. that inserted the device and both Dr's told me it couldn't be the Mirena!! I did think I was crazy!!

For about the past 6 weeks I have felt just sick, nausious, diarrhea-I just don't feel right!! I should check my temp?? I just have to have this thing removed, I am afraid that it will hurt!! I also experience some bleeding after sex lately{all in the past six weeks or so} Does anyone else have that??
