Hi, I also posted about Zyretec regarding the withdrawal symptoms I have experienced every time I try to go off it. But when I read your email about the throat closing your husband experienced I was beside myself. I to am having throat constrictions but never thought it could be from the Zyrtec. In fact I am scheduled for an esophagus stretching June 2nd thinking the reason my throat was feeling constricted was from esophagus spasms. My GI took several test and only saw a little acid reflux and thought maybe my esophagus was spasm from it. But also said I am doing this totally on what you tell me you feel because all your test show that you are fine. Now I read your email and I have to say Thank YOU so much. It has to be the Zyrtec. I have a call into my Allergy doctor right now to discuss all this.
Is your husband on anything now that is helping him? Also did your husband go through any kind of withdrawal from not taking the Zyretec like heart racing , insomnia, Etc. Any help you can give is very appreciated.
Thank you and good luck to you and your husband. I wish him health.
I've been on Zyrtec for several years for food/mouth reactions/allergies. STARTED SINGUILAR also 8 mo. ago. Stomach bloat. tested for celiac...but came out neg. Now I'm wondering abt both drugs.
I took Zyrtec for just three days and noticed all the symptoms mentioned above. My GP says it could not be Zyrtec. Thanks that I found this post. Zyrtec could be the culprit.
I stopped taking Zyrtec and let me see if my condition is going to improve.
