It could definitely be the drug. One of the side effects is extreme fatigue. I have had a reaction to Levaquin also. I took it in December and at the time, I experienced an ongoing headache, panic attacks, anxiety and insomnia. However, the big problems didn't start until ten days AFTER I had already finished the medicine. What I'm trying to say is that if you are experiencing ANYTHING at all, please stop taking the drug and ask your doctor for something different. If he doesn't give you something, find a new doctor. I wish someone had told me that. It might have saved me. I am still in terrible pain and it's now 5 months later. Good luck to you and feel free to e-mail if you have any questions. Rose
I'm no expert but I can tell you my experience. I only finished 6 days of the prescription before the ER discontinued it. For almost 2 months I could only stay awake for about 4 out of every 24 hours. Walking to the garage was an effort. I would start sweating and breathing hard. I really thought I was going to keel over going a few hundred feet. I won't even tell you about the whole list of adverse drug reactions I experienced, it was horrible. And as the previous person said.... some thing don't happen till quite some time AFTER you take the stuff. My bicep tendon snapped 9 months later. So, do I think it could be the Levaquin? Absolutely.
Yes,STOP taking the damn stuff. Its poison. Beleive me, it ruined my life for 3 months. I couldn"t even walk up and down stairs or even sit on the toilet because the pain in my kees was so bad. I took it for a kidney infections and ended up a cripple. I am fine now but it took months to get back to normalMarsh, good luck!
