I was glad to read this one!! II am bipolar and was on seroquel for four years and lost many many memories and gained over 100 lbs. I started on Topamax 3 months ago and for me it has been like coming out of a fog!! The only side effect I have noticed is weight loss, I have lost 34 lbs, no food cravings at all, some tingling in my tongue, dry mouth (I can live with these) no memory loss, no confusion, in fact I feel more alive and alert than I have in a long time. I have been on MANY meds since I was diagnosed bipolar and most of them the side effects were worse than the disease, so far Topamax has been a magic drug for me.
