I have posted a few times. My daughter started taking singulair 11-17-2003 and I stopped it 3-28-2008. She is the one that dropped out of dance and cheerleading, withdrew from old friends and family, headaches, stomachaches, missing school with this, depressed, anxiety attacks and CUTTING her self under her clothes. 6 months with a psychiatrist did not help. She is now about 80% back from the darkness. She is so much better and is such a loving child, She is not cutting, has a part time job, and has passed all her classes with 3 A's, 1 B, and 2 C's. BUT there are learned behaviors while in the darkness that still show up. Not every day but they are there. She has been pushed off her life path. I am hanging on to her with all my might and I know that I will get her through college and she will have the tools to be self reliant and happy BUT what could she have been if I never gave her singulair???? I can not help but feel guilty to what I have done to this child

You didn't know!!!! We all got terrible advice from ill-informed "experts". We can only move forward. . .

i to feel the same way,we are their mothers we are supposed to kiss the bo bos and make it all better,we are supposed to hold lifes answers, and yet..... we were made to work with our hands tied behind our backs,we are awakened now and we are demanding the right answers,i hold all responsible,Merck for putting this drug out on the market, the doctors for not listening, the hospital for not being in the loop, the insurance company for not putting 2and 2 together and the pharmecy for filling this killer drug.NO prisoners all have to answer, even the justice system for grouping this with frivolous law suits, since when did we ever think the murder poisen and torture of children would be frinolous, keep shouting out the word someone will listen eventually

I felt that way when I found out about singulair in March. I felt like I had poisoned my son for 5 years and I wonder what his life would have been like if I had known about the side effects of this drug. I also hope and pray that this drug has not ruined his life due to the learned behavior patterns he has developed. The thing is...no one but Merck knew what could happen. I am sure they had reports like these from somewhere but they ignored them. For now on I am only giving my kids drugs that have been on the market for several years! Those that are tried and true and not just being pushed onto the market to make big bucks for the pharm. co's. I do not trust any new drugs now!

We have to hold those responsible accountable. We did not know anything different than what our doctors were telling us. This is a huge cover up with Merck and I believe this will eventually be prohibited for use by children, at the very least. They will lose their billions from this drug, they've already started to lose money believe me. Everyone keep posting your stories, one at a time we will get justice for what they did to our children. Than you, Mr. and Mrs. Miller for saving our children.
