I started taking Lo24 on the first day of my period on May 19th and have been bleeding ever since. I called the doctor and am waiting for a call back, but I'm seriously considering just finishing this pack and saying the heck with it. Anyone else have a constant flow when first starting the pills?

I am on my third week of my first pack and I too haven't stopped bleeding. It hasn't been a consistant flow, more like spotting, lots of brown blood, etc. But I have had cramps throughout and I'm really getting sick of feeling like I am on my period 24/7. I am going to stick it out for 3 months and hopefully things will get better.

My doctor's office called back this morning and said this type of bleeding is normal because the pills are "foreign" to the body. If I hadn't take pills before, I would be more inclined to believe this, but I just don't think that basically having a two and a half week period is "normal". I think I'm going to finish out the pack just to stay on a 28 day cycle, but I really don't want to take these pills for another month.

I have been bleeding constantly for 45 days on this pill. Actuallly, it stopped for 5 days in between. The doctor is having me wait it out. I have lost all of my appetite, I have nausea, I am dizzy and faintish. I still have severe cramps. And I just started waking u with leg cramps, I read the side effects and it doesn't comfort me to know blood clots can occur. I called my doctor after a month of straight bleeding and they called me in for blood work, however they said I was fine, and I should continue to take the pill. I have an appointment Wednesday so we'll see. Good Luck!
